Business Records for Loan Applications
To apply for a business loan for your existing business, including an SBA guaranteed loan, you will need business financial information. Here are the most important documents you will need:
Business Credit
Information about your business credit, including any business credit reports, Dun & Bradstreet information, or other information that shows the status of your business credit.
Tax returns
Federal tax returns for your business for the past three years. If you don't yet have three years' returns, provide as many as you have.
Income Statements
Current income statements (P&L reports) for your business, going back as much as three years.
Balance Sheets
Current balance sheets for your business, and three years' history of balance sheets, if available.
A list of business debts and your payment history on those debts.
Assets for collateral
A list of assets that can be used as collateral for the business loan.
