Bush Says Business Owners Will Benefit By Tax Incentive Plan
Speaking at a printing plan in Virginia yesterday, President Bush called America's small business people "dreamers and doers," and said the tax stimulus package is aimed at helping small businesses by encouraging them to invest in new equipment this year. Mr. Bush stated:
"I fully recognize that people are concerned about our economy, but they must understand that this package has yet to fully kick in yet," he said. "We have taken action, but it is going to take awhile for the economy to feel the effects of this good law that I have signed."
It will take some time before the effects of the tax incentives will be felt; most small businesses probably won't increase spending significantly until after the election in November, taking a "wait and see" attitude.
